Happy Friday Beauties!!

     You know that feeling you get when you meet someone new?  Its like opening up a new book with eager eyes ready to explore its pages, anticipating what God wants to do with the relationship.  That's how it was for me when I met my new friends Rujing and Ian of this amazing company called Silkstaq.  We met at a Nolcha Fashion show for New York Fashion Week; Rujing introduced herself to me with such a lamb like demeanor that I immediately identified with.  She began to explain who she was and what she did.  She told me about her company and how she was looking for bloggers to feature and wanted me to be a part of it.  I agreed with  such peace in my heart, and because of that peace I knew God put this together.
    We talked about the company,  Silkstaq.com, which is an online source for Women and Men to source out tips from experts in their field, which include bloggers, vloggers, and writers in fashion, beauty and food.  Of course we can think of a few sites that do that now with instagram, twitter, snapchat and all of these outlets being used for such creative purposes, but this company is different.  I love how everything is in one place, you just click through the search widows which breaks down Height, Weight, and Total Body Measurments and it matches you up with an expert who you can pull inspiration from, on instagram, youtube, blogger, wordpress, and  find answers to questions about style or just get inspired. It is literally a One-stop-Shop!  I feel so connected to this company because they invested in me and so many other bloggers across the nation to help us share our stories with the world.  It goes beyond fancy clothing, hair and makeup this is a industry changing company that is ready to build and unify people through the love of fashion!
      Silkstaq and I did a blogger collaboration and the photos came out AMAZINGGGG thanks to Ian :-) who's so skilled behind a camera that I don't think anyone could look bad behind his lens!!  My look consists of pieces (jacket, top, hat, and bag) from my fall/winter collection "Ankara"...Enjoy










   

With anticipation on my heels and one focus in mind, I've preconditioned myself to fly. I don't need any fancy luggage or even a boarding pass G class luxury in the sky.  I knew from the moment I stepped my feet onto this earth I would eventually give birth to nations, with one denomination and a single determination to succeed no matter what I SEE!

Something we have to remember is that we are all created for a purpose, just because you currently can't see IT does not mean it's not there.  There will come a time in life when God aligns your faith with his purpose, dreams, and desires for you.  So DO NOT GIVE UP, because the last time I checked quitters DON'T WIN!

This look is my definition of casual chic, with it still being cold outside and me running out of winter gear, I just pulled some pieces from my Fall/Winter16 collection titled "Ankara" the Sweatshirt and convertible floor length hoodie and tights are made by me (check out more on www.cadeolabychinaza.com) My pants are from a vintage store in Texas, Hat is Hieronymus and my Converse are from L Train vintage in Brooklyn!

We are in a NEW YEAR, NEW SEASON, with NEW DREAMS I'm really happy to be a part of this thing called life.  2015 helped me to be a more transparent person with the people that I LOVE and that LOVE me.  2015 also taught me the true value of TIME and exactly how precious it is.  I realized that time is given to all of us and the people that the world looks up to as leaders in their industries were NOT born with two heads, (lol) they just utilize their time differently/ more effectively than most of the human race.  So there is one thing that I learned in 2015 that has paved the way for my 2016, and that is valuing the time that The Lord has given me!  We all have big dreams and goals that we want to achieve in life and a new year means another year to give it a TRY.  This is the year of the UNSTOPPABLES, the YES and AMEN, but only if  you DARE TO DREAM!!!!

Bases are loaded and I'm on deck not needing the approval of the world or its respect, all I need is your word with my hands painted in the sky, I'm synonymous with success, VICTORY is the label BURNED on my chest, because this world won't define me, being unable to confine me, words can NEVER HURT ME because HE was bruised and battered for my inequities chained and whipped for my infirmities rising AGAIN so that I can see....... that I AM FREE.

This is a man's world, this is a man's world......but trust me, their world can be nothing without a woman's handddddddd.......... not saying it forcefully since some of you can't seem to understand that I AM A LADY! made from the very hands that have crafted my existence ceasing to exist unless you are in it, is a CHOICE not weakness.  We've spent a lifetime in the school for charm trying to learn how to fold our napkins and cross our arms to be seated next to YOU in front of the world.  With portrayal dripping in diamonds and pearlssssssss and in an instant, I wake up from my dream.  Looking around to see who's watching me I cover the hole at the knee of my jeans, I sit up and fix my outward appearance as my eyes gaze off over the clearance to see GOD's rainbow reminding meeeee of who I AM, The great I AM crafted me from the very side of a man named after HIS likeness, said that we should exist together not separately so WHY have we spent all of eternity fighting, it's the age old question un-answered by the masses, "Hey GIRLS move those HIPS, and bounce those asses" is what society believes that we are....... HEY LADIES WHY IS IT THAT, we've come so far, to take ourselves back in time, to a time when we were not even considered a real person. Now we use phrases like "get naked for the gram," Girl I'm tryna get chose and "ooohh whats wrong with her she must ain't got no man" to depict who we are in life.  Now don't get me wrong I LOVE a relationship done holy and right in God's pleasing sight, I just feel like we are losing the best part of who we are and that's a five letter word called.......... WOMAN!!

It's full bloom and I don't have to assume that it's my Father's nature to be on time, it seems like majority of the time I'm forced to stand in line against others.  But it's ok because the humble shall be exalted and my time is coming soon, theres no way it's not with these flowers in full bloom, opportunity is his.  I can't sit around wondering "well, why not", and "what if", I have to just live.  It's the talents that have to make room for themselves I've tried to do it alone and always failed, I've tried to plead with the judge but never made bail, I've tried......and now I think I'm tired of trying, tired of wiping away tears from crying, tired of pretending and denying, I'm tired.  So here is my appeal, Father I need your divine hands to take this wheel called my life, steer me to safety and allow my dreams to catch flight.  You are the potter and I am the clay thanking you for being so careful with me........  The stage has been set and the flowers laid out and this time without a doubt, I'm on my way!!!

Myself and Christian Riley of Chrissyjoystyle.com decided to let our girlie powers activate and collab.  She and I share so many of the same interests, but our strongest thread is Jesus, we attend the same church here in the city, therockchurches.com and we love it.  This shoot was inspired by a ball gown tulle skirt from my couture collection that she adored and paired with her a vintage sequin blouse and leopard pumps (her signature).

My look is similar, I have a blouse that I got at a vintage sale accompanied by a C.Adeola double layered tulle skirt,  paired with my Tory Burch  metallic gold pumps, and topped of with a C.Adeola flower crown (which will also be a DIY coming soon) and my mini Louis Vuitton bowler bag.

Make up:  I also did our faces as well, Christian's face is set with a mixture of Smash Box High Def. Healthy Skin Foundation in "Dark2" mixed with CC Cream by Sephora  I set her foundation with N.Y.C  Smooth Skin Loose Face Powder in "Naturally Beige".  On her eyes I primed them with NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in "Milk" and her shadows are from the Coastal Scents 88 Warm Palette, her lips are NYX's lipstick in "Sierra", lastly her blush is from the Blush Combo Palette from Coastal Scents.

My Face: I set my skin with my usual powder foundation from sephora (view older posts) highlighted with Laura Mercier illuminating powder, eyeliner and mascara (view older post) my eyeliner is a shadow from my Sigma Palette called "Allure"  blush (view older post), lastly my lips are MAC, in color magenta mixed with the matching gloss.

No Worries I have Tips for You!!!

Planning a wedding can be very stressful, I've been working with brides for a while now and they all seem to express the same concern, "I want to be fabulous, but I don't want to spend a lot of money".  I feel the most important thing to keep in mind as a bride is your physical appearance, because after the cake is gone, the food is finished, and the celebratory hugs and high-fives have come to an end, all you have left from that day are your memories, some in your head and majority in the form of photographs, so it's important that you look your best.  Below are some KEY items that I feel every bride should invest in.

1. Hair Stylist
2. Make-up Artist  (MUA)
3. Hair piece or Veil

1.  Hair Stylist- I feel this is extremely important because hair is to a wedding like icing is to a cake, because without it, it just feels like something is missing.  Finding one that suits your needs will not be hard, its finding the right style for that day that seems to be the trying part, so it's important that you do consultations a few weeks before the wedding day so it gives you time to choose what's best for you.  This does not have to be extremely expensive either, you can save a few dollars by washing and conditioning your hair yourself at home (sans product) so all the stylist has to do is style it the day of.

2. MUA-  Without one of these, majority of brides in the world would have protested their own weddings...lol.  Your face is the first thing people see when they see you.  So do not deceive yourself thinking that either you can do it yourself (unless you are a professional) or you can get one of your girlfriends from childhood to hook you up!  Do your research and find out what looks good on your face, make a vision board, (which is super simple with Pintrest) of visual ideas of how you want to look.  The perfect hair and make-up can take any wedding look from normal to extraordinary!

3. Hair Piece or Veil-  Hair ornaments are a well known thing dating back to the Victorian age, and I am ALL about them!  I love the femininity that they exude, thankfully today, the "acceptable" wedding hair ornament has changed tremendously, they went from cathedral length veils, to cute birdcage minis.  I feel some type of hair ornament is essential for any woman's wedding day whether it's covering your face or not.

DIY Flower Hair Pins

Sometimes I think it's the blurred lines that keep me from recognizing you.  I know that if I took a deepened look past your present the future would unwrap itself.  Melted away by the fact that I want to be a star, passionately deep without swimming very far.  I've never had to be aware of the blurred lines before, because unlike our befores' we depended on the world, for comfort, for ease, for a sense of humanity.  But now I depend on HIM.  I would ask if you wanted to join me but I'm running a little late, my blurred lines are clear and my crooked walk is now straight, as I lean on The Light to illuminate my way, those blurred lines aren't as evident as before.

I LOVEEEEEEE Jumpsuits!!!!! If i could make a jumpsuit in every fabrication and color in the world I would, they are so chic and edgy.  The only thing I don't like is the going to the restroom part, I mean a girl has to get completely undressed to do her lady business...any who!  The jumpsuit is made by me CAdeola, Coat is from Aliexpress.com, Bow-turban is CAdeola ENJOY!!!!!
